Bob the Builder follows the adventures of Bob and his lovable gang of friends and machines ­Scoop (a scooper), Muck (a dump truck), Lofty (a crane), Dizzy (a cement mixer), and Roley (a steam roller) ­as they work together to solve problems. Along with Bob’s business partner Wendy, his cat Pilchard, and a wacky scarecrow Spud, Bob and his crew live in a unique and imaginative world. 

U.S. Broadcast Edit

The series is also shown in the United States. The series had its first U.S. premiere on January 15, 2001 on Nick Jr. and Noggin. Some characters are given American accents. In addition, all words pronounced by British people are given American pronouncing. Season 1 to 10 were only broadcast in the U.S and to date, Season 11 to 18 were never broadcast on this channel before it ended its run. When its run ended on Nick Jr. on December 18, 2011, the series was moved to Sprout on December 19. Sprout aired reruns from Season 1 to 16 and to date, Season 17 and 18 were broadcast on this channel before it ended its run. However, the series ended its broadcast on September 27, 2015. After the series ended its broadcast on Sprout, it used to be available on Sprout's On Demand service on some cable networks (such as Verizon Fios); however, the show was removed from the On Demand service when the channel introduced Nina's World. After the series ended its broadcast on Nick Jr., it used to be available on Nickjr.com
